Cameron Smith
Cameron Smith, a proud Village Caroler since 2016, has been heard at Tanglewood, Caramoor, Lake George Opera, Boheme Opera NJ, Geneva Light Opera (NY), Light Opera of New Jersey, and Bronx Opera. He debuted at Carnegie Hall performing the world premiere of Alvin Singleton’s Brooklyn Bones.
As leading tenor with New York Gilbert and Sullivan Players since 2009, he has performed in The Mikado, HMS Pinafore, The Gondoliers, Princess Ida, Iolanthe, Trial by Jury, Utopia Limited, and The Yeomen of the Guard. He is the 2024-25 recipient of NYGASP’s Isaac Asimov Award for Artistic Achievement.
Recordings include Victor Herbert’s The Only Girl with Light Opera of New York on Albany Records and The Marc Blitzstein Centennial Concert on Footlight Records.
He holds an MM from Manhattan School of Music and a BFA from The State University of New York at Purchase.
When not on stage, he can be found running marathons and spending time with his amazing family.
