Tenor Cameron Smith has performed Tamino in The Magic Flute with Light Opera of New Jersey and Geneva Light Opera, Ernesto in Don Pasquale and Count Almaviva in Il Barbiere di Siviglia with American Landmark Festivals, Don Jose in La Tragédie de Carmen with Hubbard Hall Opera Theater, Tony in West Side Story with Boheme Opera NJ, Nemorino in L’Elisir d’Amore with Opera in the Heights, Stravinsky’s Renard at Tanglewood, Ermanno in Rossini’s L’Equivoco Stravagante with Bronx Opera, and Alfredo in La Traviata at Seagle Music Colony. With New York Gilbert and Sullivan Players, he has been Nanki-Poo in The Mikado, Ralph Rackstraw in HMS Pinafore, Lord Tolloller in Iolanthe, The Defendant in Trial By Jury, Captain Fitzbattleaxe in Utopia, Limited, and Leonard Meryll in The Yeomen of the Guard. Other concert engagements include Handel’s Messiah, Saul, and Alexander’s Feast, Puccini’s Messa di Gloria, Haydn’s Creation, Carissimi’s Judicium Salomonis, Alice Parker’s An American Kedushah, Bach’s Magnificat. He holds an MM from Manhattan School of Music and a BFA from The State University of New York at Purchase.
